Catch 22 Duo is a percussion chamber ensemble formed by Layne Mauldin and Emily Salgado based out of Greenville, SC. The name “Catch 22” comes from a discussion that the two had early on - while driving around Greenville, they both came across billboards that included the idiom and agreed that it was a memorable name. Their initial project, entitled The Trevino Project, is a multi-year endeavor that will result in a comprehensive collection of composer Ivan Trevino’s percussion duets. The duo proudly endorses Artifact Percussion.
